I don't know if you have experimented with any of the pearl or silver "craft" paints (Delta, Folkart etc.), but if you have you may have noticed that the reflective particles in them, under close examination, appear to break white light up into colors especially a light green and light magenta. I would love to know if the top coat of paint you used does the same thing or if the reflections just appear white.
