I think you'd want pretty thick plexiglass, and wouldn't want to make the window very big, since it is a pretty flexible material, and you won't be able to brace the enclosure where you put your window. You'd also want to make sure it is very tightly sealed so you don't get any air leakage around it. I'm not sure if you could use multiple layers of thinner plexi, but I suppose that could work.
