| Re: CES Trade Show Disappoints On All Fronts The statement "The importance of CES is huge for the AV industry and far beyond" is the underlying assumption that is inconsistent with the perspective of most dealers and vendors in the home theater and audio business. This has been the case for years as CES has become too large and broad in scope to be very useful. CEDIA is a far more useful event. CES has become little more than a reason to generate some press about how well the industry is doing, how big it is, and to showcase the latest gadgets. Most quality dealers stopped payin much attention to it years ago. Many vendors do not have the presence there that they once did. "It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it."
