That is untrue. What confuses some is that Denon
approximates very roughly what Audyssey EQ is doing because the Denon lacks the display capabilities and because Audyssey does not reveal its results quantitatively.
The Audyssey thread on AVS is lively, (mostly) informative and has the participation of one of the Audyssey developers.
