As you've seen, many ISPs are getting into the video business. IPTV for example. If they want to make their IPTV good, and the iTMS video bad, they could do that. Then you'd just say IPTV looks so much better and the iTMS would go away.
But I still don't think this legislation is really worth anything. It's a symbolic law, in my mind, and so one that isn't worth persuing. Making sure there is enough competition carrying Internet traffic and providing backbone service is a better solution, IMHO. |
