Using REW for individual driver measurements?

So, I've got a 4-way active system using a PC-based DSP crossover:

I already use REW for eq of a sub in a separate HT system, and have now been attempting to use it for individual driver measurements that can be imported into the above-mentioned program. REW has the option to export a measurement as a text file, which I then open and remove all the header information from, so that I'm left with just two columns of data, frequency and SPL. I then rename this to .frd (standard file format for frequency response data), but for some reason the crossover program won't open these files.

Anyone know of a good way to get .frd files out of REW? Or are there any other free/cheap measurement programs you could recommend?

Thanks,
Desmond
