What's sad is that the society/community in general does not want to accept respoinsibility for these events. Every action has a cause, some form of precurser/warning sign and a way to be prevented. But it seems that we either don't want the rammifications of accepting responsibility or we don't want to wear the costs of prevention. So the net result is someone flips of the rails and other people die. | Louisiana Tech and Northern Illinois Univ shootings coming back to back is likely no coincidence. A media obsessed with covering these lunatics ad nauseum for ratings purposes does us no favors. Regarding society's responsibility to prevent these horrible events, we should stop giving them so much attention. Of course these are unspeakably aweful tragedies, but let us grieve them privately and place blame where it is deserved -- on the shooters. Let's not forget personal responsibility when analyzing cause and effect. My deepest sympathies and prayers to all those families touched by these events. Mark
