Projector: The ubiquitous Optoma HD70. I bought it at during the $200 rebate sale.

Screen size: Negotiable. I did a preliminary test in the room at the estimated seating position, which is 11-12 feet back in an 18' room. I projected a 120" diagonal, but it looked a little big and I could begin to discern pixels. I found by zooming in just a smidge, to about 108" diagonal, I got a better looking image.

With the Optoma having 1000 ANSI and a 3000:1 Contrast I suggest going with a DW laminate screen, specially in a light controlled room. I dont think the Black Widow would suit your needs in this particular instance. I believe the Black Widow is at its best in a brighter non light controlled room and used with a higher contrast projector.

At your seating distance I would recommend either 96" or 102". This will increase the lumens output of your projector since you would need to adjust your throw range and thus give you a brighter and more vibrant image and enhance your colors. With the DW and a smaller screen with the projector possibly moved closer, this will enhance your Contrast output and ANSI.

Hopefully someone will either negate my advice or provide something better or even agree.
