I only discovered this "Shack" when I was looking for room correction software and found the Room EQ Wizard link on soundonsound.com
Sorted the room EQ out myself in the end
Home Audio Theater has never really worked for me and I got rid of "surround sound" ages ago as it sounded too fake, with too many digital enhancements getting in the way of the sound
The closest experience to a real cinema was when I set up my Mac monitor in between a pair of DynaudioAcoustic M1 studio monitors using them as front speakers and had a pair of Acoustic Solutions AV-20 Mk2 on the left of the studio and another pair on the right and watched some movies just to see what it would sound like.
The sound was mixed through an old Raindirk SRS 200 Television Broadcast desk and a Mackie 24 -8 desk. Dynaudios powered by a Mesa Boogie Strategy 400 Stereo, 200 watt tube power amp and the four Acoustic Solutions by a Cambridge Audio A1 MK3
Well it sounded as if I was at the cinema for real and I did keep the studio that way for a week or so until that was that, experiment over !
Interesting website though and I am sure that I will learn a lot
