I have a Mits (built in 2000) model:vs-50805 series:HD1080 that is exhibiting the following issue. After pressing the power button, the timer LED will light for about 3 seconds, the screen will show all green and then the set will power down. I have been reading about other Mits sets that have similar problems ... check the caps on the DM board. The 50805 does not have this separate metal box (on the left).

First questions - Does my set have a DM board? Where is it located? How many caps am I looking for? Is this a known issue with this model?

While looking for coolent leaks, I noticed this transistor sparking(see picture). Upper right corner is showing arcs.

Second questions: How do I remove this board? Is this a sign of other failures?

Anything else I should know about the TV?
