Another Mitsubishi vs-50805 issue

Once I got this TV working (see Mitsubishi vs-50805 issue), I noticed this purple spot in the center of the screen.

When the TV is not displaying a video image (blue screen), the TV appears OK. The spot is always present when the video is input from -antena, DVD, VCR, etc.

I have cleaned the top of all three lenses with no effect.

Does this have something to do with coolent/spotting? Any ideas?
