His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th (2008) Tribute documentary about one of horror cinema's most enduring icons, hosted by legendary special effects make-up artist Tom Savini. Originally released in February in a two-disc set, here released as a single disc for $14.98. Extras: "The Men Behind The Mask" featurette with extended interviews with all seven actors who portrayed Jason Voorhees throughout the series. (Anchor Bay).

The Hunger: The Complete First Season (1997-98) Four-disc set with 22 episodes of the horror anthology series from Ridley and Tony Scott, hosted by Terence Stamp; $39.98. (E1 Entertainment).

Jesse Stone: Thin Ice (2009) Tom Selleck is back for another adventure in the fifth installment of the highly-rated TV movie franchise about a former Los Angeles homicide detective who, after being fired from the LAPD, has left his wife and come to Paradise, Massachusetts to start over as the New England town's police chief. In this installment, Stone finds himself in trouble with the town council when he inadvertently becomes involved in a Boston street shootout during which a fellow cop is seriously wounded. (Sony).

Killing Ariel (2008) Michael Brainard, Axelle Cummings. A female demon haunts a young man and no matter how many times he kills her, she comes back for more. Extras: Behind-the-scenes featurette. (MTI Home Video).

Little Red Riding Hood (1997) In David Kaplan's underground cult classic, Christina Ricci plays the not-so-innocent "Little Red Riding Hood" in a twisted take on the children's story. Narrated by Quentin Crisp, the short film (30 minutes) is provocative and eerie, combining childhood fiction with mature fantasy. $19.99. (Malaprop Productions).

Morning Light (2008) Documentary on the selection and training of a crew of young adults for the oldest and most prestigious open sea race in the world, the Transpacific Yacht Race from Los Angeles to Honolulu. Also available on Blu-ray Disc. (Disney).

Murdoch Mysteries, Season One (2008) Four-disc set with 13 episodes, $59.99. New series combining the period appeal of Sherlock Holmes with the forensic fascination of "CSI" in this Canadian series in which cutting-edge Victorian science meets cunningly plotted mysteries in the 1890s. My Breakfast With Blassie (1983) Features wacky comic Andy Kaufman and wrestling legend Fred Blassie, self-proclaimed King of Men and coiner of the phrase "pencil-necked geek," as they meet for breakfast and discuss wrestling, hygiene, stardom and whether to eat bacon or sausage. Classic piece of performance art from one of our greatest comedians. $19.95. Extras: Lost footage of Kaufman, bonus footage, a making-of featurette, more. (Video Service Corp and MVD Visual).

RiffTrax In 2006 the stars of Mystery Science Theater 3000 reteamed to bring their cult commentary online at RiffTrax.com, where they wisecracked on MP3 files that could be downloaded and synched to the soundtracks of a host of cult films.
