Hip-hop drama takes a look at the gritty realties of everyday urban life in Brazil, along with a celebration of the culture's pulsating energy and spirit. Arctic Tale (2007) Documentary follows a walrus and polar bear on their journey from birth to adolescence to maturity and parenthood in the frozen Arctic wilderness, which was once a perpetual winter wonderland of snow and ice but is now melting underneath the animals. Extras: Behind-the-scenes featurette, "Are We There Yet? World Adventure: Polar Bear Spotting" featurette. Also available in HD DVD. (Paramount).

Battlestar Galactica: Razor Unrated Extended Edition (2007) Extended version of the two-hour Nov. 24 Sci Fi Channel broadcast; $26.98. Drama/Mex (2006 -- Mexico) Fernando Becerril, Juan Pablo Castaneda, Diana Garcia, Martha Claudia Moreno, Miriana Moro, Emilio Valdes. Two interlaced stories unfold over the course of the same long, hot day in the once lush and now decadent resort town of Acapulco. The first involves the beautiful and cool Fernanda, who is forced to deal with the sudden emergence of her ex-lover, Chino. Her boyfriend, Gonzalo, must now compete with the intense sexual tension Fernanda and Chino share. The second story concerns Jamie, an office worker with hidden indiscretions, attempting suicide in a beachfront hotel -- until a precocious and equally dishonest teenage girl disrupts his plan. Exiled (2006 - Hong Kong) Anthony Wong, Francis Ng, Simon Yam, Nick Cheung, Richie Ren, Roy Cheung, Josie Ho. Hong Kong gangster movie about four hit men who meet up while awaiting the arrival of a gang member about to turn over a new leaf just before Macau is turned over to the Chinese in 1998: two men are there to kill him, two men to save his life. Extras: "The Making of Exiled," behind-the-scenes featurette. (Magnolia Home Entertainment).

Erik the Viking: Director's Son's Cut (2005) Dir.: Terry Jones; Tim Robbins, Mickey Rooney, Eartha Kitt, Terry Jones, John Cleese. New and never-before-seen version has been edited and re-cut to 75 minutes by Jones' son with re-ordered scenes, a tighter pace and a remixed and re-dubbed soundtrack. A young actor from Texas tries to make it in New York while struggling in his relationship with a beautiful singer-songwriter. Directed by Hawke. Ingmar Bergman: Four Masterworks Boxed set with four of the director's masterpieces: "Smiles of a Summer Night," "The Seventh Seal," "Wild Strawberries" and "The Virgin Spring": $99.95. (The Criterion Collection).
