I'm looking for a phono pre-amp for a decent consumer grade Technics SLQ200 turntable and Audio Technica 311EP MM.
I can't justify spending a lot of money but I also don't want the pre-amp to be the week link in the chain. I've looked at budget Pyle, and Behringer pre's but have concerns on the S/N, distortion, and overall sound quality. If I find myself getting hooked I may upgrade but replacing the damaged styli on my Audio Technica AT122LP.
Based on first hand experience can you recommend a sub $100 (USD) phono pre-amp?
