Well it sounded pretty good didn't it? heehee

Everything was fine until I used the Bic lighter as a light to try and see if the stuff in the gas tank was okay...

Good morning all! Seem to be slacking on the posting front yet again.

I wonder if the citizens of Houston survived Sonnies visit, can only imagine what they have been subjected to

JCD: still waiting to hear your comments on the Pogues, also any opinions on the Violent Femmes cd you bought, it is the one that I do not have but think that I have pretty much all the songs.

Houston has probably gotten use to my type since about a year ago they gave birth to hundreds of thousands of cajun refugees who have made their home there now.

I FINALLY ordered Pogues -- The Ultimate Collection. I don't know why, but I kept forgetting to drop by my favorite local music store to buy the dang thing.

I finally just took off during work to go down and get it. They didn't have it! So I came back to the office and bought it online. Crazy price -- $13.95 delivered. Seems a bit low for a new double CD, but what the hey, if it's wrong, what's $14.

As for the Violent Femmes, I've always loved their stuff. The song that I alway's liked but never got to hear was "Country Death Song". Good and bad with this album, it has the song but it's a live version. In fact, listening to it right now..

JCD: as to the Violent Femmes have to admit that Add it up made a big impression on me the first time I heard it, probably when I was 17 or so. Country Death Song is available on Hallowed Ground though not too sure about the availability of the cd, actually have it on vinyl somewhere.

Lookin' good Glen... I like those built-in cabinet and drawers... very nice.

Is the center speaker getting in the way of the screen?

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Yeah, I have to lower the top shelf a bit. I had assembled it with my old center channel speaker, but the Usher is much taller ( and Oh so much better sounding )

The media storage was a tight squeeze. It's right up against the bathroon wall on the right, the water heater in the laundry room is just to the left, and a foundation pole is going right through the middle. So I have CD's on the left, DVD's on the right and a space in the middle for some small shelves (which are hiding the pole). The top section has some doors to store odd sized box sets. I can fit about 60 cd/drawer and 40 DVD/drawer - so I've got lots of storage space there.

I'll be at home.... probably watching a few movies tonight and we are supposed to start upgrading the server/hosting tonight... so that should be fun.

You have a great weekend yourself!

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Good morning all!!

JCD: I suppose the best things are worth waiting for!!??? Hopefully you will like the music once you finally receive it.

I am rather pleased at the moment, Nick Cave is coming to Finland in November and the tickets went on sale today and I managed to get hold of some. The show was sold out within three minutes so I am rather lucky!

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Moving into autumn (fall) here in Finland as well, really nice time of the year if it does not rain all the time. Will be going mushroom hunting in the near future, edible mushrooms not the other kind just in case anyone is wondering!
