Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

I've ordered a bunch of HD-DVDs

PlayX.com have a 3 for 2 sale on them. I got the Hairy Spotless series, Waterworld, Dantes peak, The shining, Grand Prix, The Prestige, Babel and... one more that I can't even remember.. I must be getting old.

I'm also NOT getting a BD player anytime soon. At least that's what my wife keep telling me. I'm not sure I believe her, though..

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Morning all!

Been stupidly busy at work for a change and running around trying to get things organised for a trip to Lapland. My brother arrives today which will be great, have not seen him in about a year. Have a few things to take care of today before going to work and then I have nearly two weeks off, bliss!!

Thankfully the flu seems to have deserted me, finally. Still have a hiccup or two with the laptop but most things are running smoothly. Am feeling quite cheerful, especially seeing as though it is a Monday!

Well done everyone

I putting some curtains up either side of screen tonight, should make the room look a little more intentional.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

came across abit like that did it?

O.K you lot... ROLE CALL,

SOUND OF!

Or do we need a mission update briefing:

Major Sonnie we need a thread report.. how many posts until volume 2?

O.k men its been a long thread, but we ain't there yet. I won't lie, some of you won't make it to volume three, but remember we need more irractic jokes, useless links and morbidly boring stories of what I did on the weekend. Is that clear?

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Here is a joke for you, do not know if it could be classed as irratic but it did make me grin at least.

A young blonde woman was driving through the Florida Everglades while on vacation.
She wanted to take home a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.
After becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the young Blonde declared, "Well then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator and get a pair
of shoes for free!"
The shopkeeper said with a sly smile, "Well little lady, why don't you go on and give it a try?"
The blonde headed off to the swamp, determined to catch an alligator.
Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he spots the same young woman standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in hand.
As he brings his car to a stop, he sees a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her.
With lightning reflexes, the Blonde takes aim, shoots the creature and hauls it up onto the slippery bank.
Nearby were 7 more dead gators, all lying belly up.
The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement.
The blonde struggles mightily and manages to flip the gator onto its back.
Rolling her eyes heavenward, she screams in frustration,

"DOGGONE IT this one is barefoot too!!

Another that actually made me laugh, no offense to Aussies!

A ventriloquist visiting Australia walks into a small outback village and
sees a local sitting on his porch patting his dog, he figures he'll have a
little fun, so he says to the Aussie

"Hey, mind if I talk to your dog? "

Villager: "The dog doesn't talk, stupid "

Ventriloquist: "Hello dog, how's it going mate? "

Dog: "Doin' all right. "

Aussie: (look of extreme shock)

Ventriloquist: "Is this villager your owner?" (pointing at the villager)

Dog: "Yep"

Ventriloquist: "How does he treat you? "

Dog: "Real good. He walks me twice a day, feeds me great food and takes me
to the lake once a week to play. "

Aussie: (look of utter disbelief)

Ventriloquist: "Mind if I talk to your horse? "

Aussie: "Uh, the horse don't talk either. . . . I think. "

Ventriloquist: "Hey horse, how's it going? "

Horse: "Cool"

Ventriloquist: "Is this your owner? " (pointing at the villager)

Horse: "Yep"

Ventriloquist: How does he treat you?

Horse: "Pretty good, thanks for asking. He rides me regularly, brushes me
down often and keeps me in the barn to protect me from the elements.

Aussie: (total look of amazement)

Ventriloquist: "Mind if I talk to your sheep? "

Aussie: (in a panic) "The sheep's a liar. "
