| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Good morning all! Finally a better sporting weekend with South-Africa beating England in the rugby and then our cricketers beating India to go 2-0 up in the series with two games to go. Couple of days off now, hopefully find time to finish up the bass traps and maybe doing some measurements, just never seems to be enough hours in one day! 1995 2007 | ||||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Evening all!! Wow I am tired!! New restaurant opened today and I was there to basically just help out in the kitchen, ended up being absoutely swamped with orders within ten minutes of opening. Working with people who do not really know what they are doing and appliances that break half way through the day does not help at all! The worst thing is I am going back tomorrow! I probably need a hole in my head, time to call for the men in the white coats!1995 2007 | ||||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Hello All, weekend is here again. I guess some people are suckers for punishment and others just have bills to pay. | Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Morning all! Yes I am going back, a couple of days more won't kill me I hope. Being busy, even stupidly busy is not a problem, the irritating thing is that the owner is a real cheapskate and has bought everything second hand, also bought some really useless stuff. The new places kitchen manager while being a nice guy has not organised things well, should not run out of supplies within a few hours. They also did not do enough prep either, about a third of what I said they should do which just means that they are all going there very early in the morning to do lots more prep, probably were there till very late yesterday as well. I definitely am not making many friends there as I do speak my mind, as I see it I am not getting paid to be nice to people but to help get the place up and running. Should be a very entertaining day on the cards again, actually half looking forward to it already. 1995 2007 | ||||

G'day all, I guess all companies are the same. Or at least have one person who insists on using cheaper/substandard tools for the job. my weekend is over back to the grind stone tommorow."Until mankind is peaceful enough not to have violence on the news, there's no point in taking it out of shows that need it for entertainment value." - Clueless The imperative is to make a subjective study an objective fact. | |||||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Good morning all. Pretty tough weekend at the new place but they are up and running, the likelihood that they will stumble at some stage though is fairly high. Interesting to be at a new place for its first days and we cooked an amazing amount of food, close to 2600 portions in three days, with better equipment and better organiszation we probably could have done more and it would have been easier. Hope to find some time today to get to grips with my new soundcard and REW so I can see iuf my bass traps are making any difference. 1995 2007 | ||||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One G'day all. A question for everyone: do you enjoy your job? Answer and rate between 1 and 10, 10 being "would do it even if I wasn't paid" and 1 being "I am quitting tommorow". My Job is not my prefered career but it is sufficiently stressing to keep me interested. 6/10 "Until mankind is peaceful enough not to have violence on the news, there's no point in taking it out of shows that need it for entertainment value." - Clueless The imperative is to make a subjective study an objective fact. | ||||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Hmmm... I like my job because I own my own business. Kinda hard to answer. I guess I'd say I'm around a 7 or so. I don't think I like enough to say I'd do it without pay, but I do enjoy going to work everyday I go. Or rather the job I do never makes me dread going in, although some days I don't feel like going in. I'll stick with 7/10. | ||||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Good evening all! Probably a 7/10 on the job score, I do enjoy my job. I kind of like the major chaos that may happen at any time, it is always nice to see how just how mad things can get, and still survive. It is also nice knowing that at the end of the day the day is well and truly over, do not need to take my work home with me. 1995 2007 | ||||
