That's a great pic Fin! Very colorful and crisp.

Your bro is at a distance, but you still appear to look similar.

Hmmm... nope, Nissan doesn't have anything like that around here. I like it though. It looks like a cross between a Mini Cooper and VW Beetle. I wonder why they wouldn't produce that car for the U.S.??? Seems like it would be a hot car.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Yes I do think there is quite a resemblance between my brother and I, he is four years older but it seems that the older we get the more we are starting to look alike.

Not sure what kind of market there is for small cars in the states, aren't you all into great big gas guzzlers over there?? I am happy with the car, it gets great mileage and my distances are not great, being a Nissan it should be pretty reliable as well.

Yeah... we are loaded with gas hog vehicles here... no doubt! We do have some good gas mileage cars, but they don't look near as cool as the Micra does. Unless of course I've missed a car or two, which is quite possible.

This is the only drawback to living in Australia, products are not designed primarily for our market therefore we only get products that are similarely suited to our market like small japanese cars and large American utes. the same goes with electronics we just don't get the same range of product and price you get in the states or europe.

Not so much fun, huh?

Today is the first day this year that I've worn short sleeves. But Virginia weather is all over the place, I'm sure we'll have quite a few more chilly days.

The weather is super nice down this way in Bama-land. It's been shorts for me the last couple of days (while at home that is).

Hope all is okay with your back Fincave.

As is always the case in Vic. Aus, can't decide whether its gunna be hot or cold so each day we have a bit of both. Fin sorry to hear about your back. Hope it gets better soon. I know how crippling even minor back complaints can be so I hope your pain killers work.

Good Morning!

It's been very nice here for the last week or so... definitely warming up.

Fincave and drf... are you guys subscribed to this thread to where you get notifications by email? If so and when you do get the notification, do you ever click on the link in the email to be taken to the first new post here? I'm trying to find out if it works okay for you... when you click that link in the email, does it bring you here to the newest post that you have not read? Thanks!

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Good afternoon,

Sonnie: Am subscribed and do receive the email notification, clicking the link in the email brings me to the very first post, not the first unread post.

Spring has definitely arrived in Finland, very warm weather for this time of year though the possibility of snow falling within the next week or so does exist. Am kind of cooped up at home, have a slipped disc in my back, did try and go to work and managed for a couple of days but it just got worse and so took two sick days. Thankfully it seems to be getting a bit better and is not quite so sore. Lying around at home has at least given me time to catch up on a few movies, Jacob's Ladder, Crash and Tsotsi have all been viewed, all three pretty good and slightly different, not really the run of the mill Hollywood movies.

A bit strange, when I clicked on the notification for post #813 it took me to the very first post, both notifications that have come after that took me to the latest post????????

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

That is strange and would seem to indicate that it quite possibly has something to do with how often you visit the forum.

The notification from your post #817 brought me right to it.

Personally I've never been able to duplicate the issue with it going to the first post, but I frequent the forum daily, so that could have something to do with it.

I use Firefox 2.0.0.3 and I was taken to the very first post in the thread and left there.

EDIT: Having visited then deliberately closed my browser I re-clicked on the email notification link and was taken straight to this post.

I wonder why it does that? It's like it forgets that you ever visited it when you don't visit it for a while.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

sorry for chimming in late, haven't been around for a while, but I don't subscribe to any thread, it sometimes does it automaticaly but i unsubscribe when that happens. I just check a few threads daily (e.g the swamp, diY speakers and subs). If I don't visit for more than about 2 days either the servers cache or my cookies are reset and clicking on the link to a thread takes me to the first page. other than that I always get taken straight to the first unread post.

so hows life been for everyone?

Well a couple more weeks and you should be able to relax a little bit anyway.

I wish I could say we have been busy at the office, but we haven't. I've been busy with lots of other stuff though. Summer time is here and the grass is beginning to grow on a regular basis.
