I'm the same way... I get very little myself. Every now and then I'll crash for 8-10 hours, but most of the time it's 4-6 hours a night.

4-6 hours sounds about right! Maybe when I am old I will sleep for longer, though have heard that the older you get the less sleep you require, maybe I will eventually just take 30 min naps

Well... it's 2:30am here and I've stared at this computer for along time tonight. I suppose I better hit the sack. I may can get about 8 hours in tonight since it's raining here, which mean I won't have to cut grass in the morning anyway. Sweet!

Re: SOBB - Volume One

Cannot remember the last time I actually cut grass, probably as a kid in South-Africa, we had a fairly big garden with a well fertilized lawn that needed cutting once every five days, not much fun when it took two hours or so of pushing the mower around

Hello, and good morning. cool idea not to talk only about Homtheaters but everytinhg else.
Great Weather in Germany for nearly one week now and that cannot be assumed in May, here.
Awfully I got a bad cold, so I could not enjoy the weather at all.
Last Weekend there was a nice Hifi an Hometheater Fair in Hannover. There I saw the Sony Ruby (SXRD with real HD Resolution)for the first time and in my eyes it makes an amazing picture.

I also heard the Klipsch Reference Speakers for the first time and I was overwhelmed so much, that i consider to sell my speakers in our living room to get these.
Never heard such a great sound, giving so much fun to me,before.
I am drummer as a hobby and the Drumsolo I heard, sounded as if I am playing by myself without moving; Speakers playing as quick and with lots of punch as these i've never heard before.

I hope you will have a nice day, see you.

thomas

Re: SOBB - Volume One

Good Morning. Still raining here so no grass cutting today.... Let's see... finally got to bed and asleep around 3:30am and got up at 9:30am... still didn't get but 6 hours. Dadnabbit

Fincave, I cut about 10 acres per week here. Then I bush hog another 25-30, the part that's not wooded. Then I'll cut my ma-in-laws grass all along and this is my month to cut the grass at the church building. So I get grass cutting out my ears!

Hey Thomas... glad you've joined here at the Nut Hut! I hope we can get up a group to make this our daily hang out. Sorry you got yourself a cold and hope you get to feeling better soon.

Klipsch speakers are famous in the U.S. I know a few speaker that swear by them. I had a pair of Fortes back in the 90's and loved them. Sometimes I wish I had given the Reference Series a shot in my HT before I bought my VMPS speakers.

Re: SOBB - Volume One

Nut hut? Hmmmm.... I've been wanting to come up with a better name for this place... maybe even the forum itself.

Instead of Shackster's Chat.... maybe The Nut Hut?

Then we need something better than SOBB, but we need it to be an acronym if possible.

I like having "Hut" in there as that relates to "Shack". Of course we got "Cottage", "Cabin", and probably a few more.

You guys help me think of something better than Shackster's Chat and SOBB for this area.

Yeah... just barely huh? About lunch time for you eh?

Fincave... isn't Ilkka a member on your Finnish AV forum? He usually post a good bit over at AVS but hasn't posted in a couple of months. I sent him a couple of PM's back about a month ago and haven't heard from him. I hope he's okay and nothing bad has happened.

Yes, it is now just after 1pm here. I just opened the model home at 12. So, according to opening time, I just got to work. Playing a little PSP right now, and eating lunch.

Sonnie: I hope you have a mower that you ride around on, can just picture someone puhing a mower for the ten acres, would probably take you a week

Re: SOBB - Volume One

Wow... can't believe he was banned for that. I can't figure out what they thought he was marketing. The subs in the review maybe? Gee, it's not like several of those aren't talked up daily in some form or fashion. Someone musta had an axe to grind.

Anyway I invited to post the info here. Whether he will or not remains to be seen... but I hope he will.

On the grass cutting... uh yeah... 61" Grasshopper Z-Mower. Takes me about 4 hours to cut all 10 acres. The bush hogging is done over several days but it's only a few times a year. Weedeating is somewhat of a pain too! Just too much to take care of on a weekly basis. But at least I only go into the office 4 days a week and that gives me ample time to get this other stuff done.

Re: SOBB - Volume One

heehee... I'm glad somebody will talk to me!

That coffee maker I had mentioned earlier is a Keurig. This thing makes some of the best coffee I've ever tasted.

We got several different types of coffee samples with and nearly all of them were outstanding. We also got the adaptor so we can use regular coffee in it too. Their coffee is rather expensive.

Looking at that makes me want a cup of coffee! Unfortunately it is 00:45 (am) and so not quite the time to drink coffee, need to get some sleep still this evening.
