would you consider pre-ordering a DVD as lining up. How many HT nuts have been to their local shop and pre-ordered starwars or LOTR months before they were released?

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Nah, I'd classify pre-ordering with planning ahead. Standing in line (for days?) to be the first person in the door, well, that's a whole different level.

We use to stand in line for tickets all the time. I think the longest was for the Eagles, about 5 nights.

I think a flip pic is in order...

We always had a blast when we camped for tickets. We mostly played cards, Mexican Train Dominoes, checkers, etc. Then we would grill out... eat a lot, do other things we shouldn't do...

If that's a boat... don't use it... you will sink. :raped:

Isn't it time somebody crossed the Atlantic on an air guitar?

Otto has that latest grass. They call it sepia.

It's so fashionable since global warming took hold.

Hahahahaha. Yeah, you gotta piece that boat all together, or it might only be good for hanging onto in the event of a water landing.

Now, I don't know much about boats. But isn't the shape of that opening facing the wrong way? I can't see how the skin fits on the boat.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

I think that is the scattered trend. We have been in a drought all year, but finally started to get rain in this area. We've had lots of fires in the southeast. In the south central area, over in Texas, they are under water... something like 15-20 days of rain with no end in sight.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Beautiful day in Colorado today. We actually got up and out of the house kinda early. We were heading to the mountains by about 8 am. Did a little hike around the lake. Our 1 year old was let loose at "the top" and enjoyed throwing dirt and looking at ants. She was deathly afraid of pine cones though. Even when I showed her that I could touch it and throw it up and down, she just screamed and struggled to get away. Maybe it was pine cones that were haunting her in her dreams last night, I don't know...

Then back to town, bought some insulation for the ol' basement project, got a new pair of sandals for the kid and had sushi for lunch. Back home in my chair, checking the Shac with a wonderful White Hawk IPA! It's really been a beautiful day.

Email indicates that I sold my Outlaw, which makes me happy. No need to keep things lying around... So, off to pack that up and measure and weigh it.

In case you were wondering what Otto was doing today...

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

What about a new game to liven things up at the Swamp?

Recount your experiences of déjà vu. The feeling that you have experienced something before without it being possible.

When I was a new kid at a new school we left on a bus to go to the playing fields for the first time. We had just moved into the area from many miles away so I had no idea where were going.

When we arrived at the cricket ground I was absolutely certain I had been there before. There was even an old dilapidated watermill in one corner of the sports grounds that I somehow knew about. I had never been there before in my life!

Your turn!

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

There are some pretty easy word games we can play...

Quote:
One person puts down a word and the next person has to use the last two letters of that word to start their word. Example.........

Pagoda--dad--advantage-gear-arrange

However if the person used a word that isnt useable (ie WORD), then you would use the last 3 letters to start your next word ... ORDinary. I would start with:

ENVELOPE
Quote:
Use brand names, products, or companies by alphabet. I would start with:

AMANA
Quote:
Start with a word and a word associated with that word as an example:

Restaurant >>>> Waitress

The next person posts the word:

Waitress >>>> your answer?
