now now, no bad bone jokes or Sonnie will have to get sternum with you all.

I would do it personally, but without admin privelidges I don't have a lateral cuneiform to stand on.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

At least we don't have metacarpalling going on here like some forums do.

Note that we have now begun moving vendors to the new pull down option at the top of the forum pages. You will find it between "Shack Shopping" and "Glossary". This will represent a great improvement in the vendor reference database, making it easier than ever to find what you are looking for.

Contact me with any suggested entries, category recommendations, or additional information about the vendors that we have. If you are a vendor and want your company listed, there is an option to provide us with the information.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Okay... name this bone... (hint: you can buy it for $1500)

Spoiler
Allosaurus Pubis Bones # 809

Age - Jurassic.
Location - Morrison Formation, Big Horn Basin, Wyoming, USA.
Size -19" long x 8" x 4"
$ 1500

Item # dino/allopub809-app1500

Note: This is an extremely rare set of Allosaurus pubis bones that are articulated (in living position) together, even with the thin attachment at the middle of the shaft. One of the 'boot' ends is distorted, but this is an exceptionally rare specimen. The only restoration/preparation performed has been matrix or rock removal and minor fracture filling. Photos from an Allosaurus book are shown for comparison to the actual bones.

such a clavicle response, one might re-capitate on such a thought and conclude that the HTS is not very pisiform in its radius.

What's up, Sonnie, bored and no one to talk to or the heat getting to you?

That would be both...

Where is everyone at anyway? Is the SWAMP floating off into oblivion?

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

Finally on holiday!! Been a bit slack about posting here of late, just had way too much to do. On holiday for three weeks during which I have nothing majorly important to take care of, need to see some friends and hopefully get to enjoy a cold beverage on a terrace somewhere.

Hope everyone is keeping well.

Yes I was on holiday not too long ago! My schedule is kind of mixed up, went almost a year without taking leave and so actually the break I had a few months ago was the last of the previous years leave. This holiday is this years leave and will be probably broken up into three sections, do not really want to take all at once, much nicer to stagger these things. I am pretty fortunate in that I get quite a nice amount of leave, 30 days annual leave which for us means 5 weeks using a six day week, also can earn an extra 8 days a year by working the weeks that contain a public holiday, Christmas, New Year, Independence, Easter etc. All in all I really cannot complain about the amount of time off.

Tax returns does not sound like much fun!! Have had to do it hear a few times but thankfully now I get sent the form completely filled out and only have to make any changes and check details, pretty painless!

Our taxes are due by April 15 each year. You guys must get some extra time. Of course we can too if we file for an extension.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

The Australian tax office is fairly slack about enforcing deadlines for tax returns and activity statments, sometimes so long as you do them within 5 years of the deadline you'll be o.k.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

That makes the IRS look like the Nazi SS.

Uh, I guess that was a dumb statement, at least the Nazis were efficient.

Bring on the Fair Tax...

We need rain... we need cooler days! At 9:20pm tonight the temp was 89F.

Leonard, is it hot in Gainsville, or do you guys get a cool down breeze from ocean to ocean?
