very funny, I've always had a small amount of hatred for those ads, I kind of found them to be a little untruthfull.

Every car space is occupied by two bikes, except one. Police in australia usually travel in twos, therefore the assumption is because the last place is empty someone has been given the sack (we call it budget cuts or labour redistribution) presumably because they didn't make the monthly quota on arrests and fines.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

What exactly is poridge? I am guessing it is cereal like grits or oatmeal. We eat grits mostly with breakfast in the south US. You can add shrimp or other stuff and have it at other meals as well. Personally, I eat oatmeal for breakfast, but have to have some dried fruit in it or something to give it some flavor.

Note that we have now begun moving vendors to the new pull down option at the top of the forum pages. You will find it between "Shack Shopping" and "Glossary". This will represent a great improvement in the vendor reference database, making it easier than ever to find what you are looking for.

Contact me with any suggested entries, category recommendations, or additional information about the vendors that we have. If you are a vendor and want your company listed, there is an option to provide us with the information.

porridge is like boiled oats.

Mav, are you on a gluten free diet or do you just prefer rice porridge?

I just prefer it.

With sugar and cinnamon, some butter, smoked ham on the side and blackberry juice. Yummy. Made me hungry all over again.

Whaddya mean, just a Honda!

My personal favorite, 1979 CBX. Inline 6, 103 hp, could also be had with a turbo kit with variable boost that produced 150 hp. Not bad for a 29 year old bike.

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

I once had a 1:8 model kit of that bike. Same colour as well. Working suspension, steel chain, all the hoses and wires were there.. It was totally awesome. Inline 6 in a bike.. Those were the days....

Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One

2 years ago I went to visit my daughter who lives in another city. In the parking lot of her apartment building, I noticed a CBX sitting there. I walked over to look at it, when the owner walked up behind me a minute later. He was maybe 20 years old. The bike was mint shape, and had 8500 miles on the odometer. I asked him what he paid, and he said a woman was cleaning out her garage after her husband had recently died, and he bought it for $500! I offered him $5000 cash on the spot, he laughed, put his helemt on, and smoked the rear tire as he left. I'll remember that for life.
