Is the rain ever going to let up?

It is pouring cats and dogs outside as I type this, again! I feel sorry for the folks that are affected in a negative way by this. I grew up in a floodplain valley, they used to let school out to sandbag the town. My stepfather bought his own excavation company and built dikes around the affecting creek, eventually.

I now live out of the 500 year floodplain in my new hometown, so never again for me. The worst problem I have is trying to find time between work to mow a dry lawn! Poor me.

Once again, I feel for you folks getting hit with this unusually wet weather. Farmers are having a really rough time, too.

I would give anything for it to move south for a while. Wicked drought down here...

We could use some rain here as well. Getting just some scattered stuff, but it has been very dry. We have fires all around.

Looking for me, just google my username. I have used the same one for most sites for many years.

We've actually had quite a bit of rain here.

I know you guys in Texas are super dry... and I see it has been ridiculously hot there as well. Not sure if Lee will help or not, but Louisiana is certainly getting it... and I think we are gonna get pretty wet here over the next few days. So much for spending the weekend at our lake home.

The drought and ridiculously hot summer has got us stuck inside as well. I wish that TS would have taken a hard left and barreled on through here....
