Looks like the SEC football season is ready to start with fireworks. It figures that Spurrier would start off in the middle of a controversy. We have quite an interesting cast of coaches. But really, can you actually call Tebow a virgin after three seasons in the SEC? I would have figured Kiffin to put that foot in his mouth but a writer beat him to it.

Here's a thread that is ready go be revived.

Week one is down - and I gotta say I'm happy with how my Bears did. It's all going to come down to how our QB does, but so far I'm hopeful.

Re: College Football begins... your thoughts!

Me too... Bama played a good team in #7 VT... and despite having a new quarterback and practically new offensive line, we put up 34 points and 498 yards against a team that is supposed to have a pretty good defense. Our new QB seemed a little shaky in the beginning, but did come around in the second half.

We did make a lot of mistakes and have some work to do, but I am please none the less.

Re: College Football begins... your thoughts!

OK, the season up until now has been warm-ups, but now we get to see what UF and LSU are really made of. The tigers have barel been scrapping out wins. If they don't show something better than I have seen so far, and if Miles does not learn to manage a game, it could be a quiet night in Tiger Stadium. It could be that they have been looking past others knowing that this will be their real test, but my gut says they don't have what it takes to play with the gators.

I am a tiger fan, but really, I can't hope that they win, because I don't think they can take Alabama, and the gators probably can. Sorry Sonnie, but I have to favor the gators over the tide for the SEC championship, and the team that wins that will likely be the national champs. Regardless, I just want to see some good football, and I think we will on Saturday night.

Up until this weekend I would have said Bama could take the Gators, but if we play like we did against Kentucky over the next few weeks, then we could be in for a few surprises.

The Gators only test (if you want to call it a test) has been Tennessee thus far and they did not impress me then... otherwise they have only played high school teams. Actually they have a very favorable schedule this year. Tennessee, Georgia and LSU are what I would call weaker teams than what they are typically. I definitely favor the Gators over LSU, who has literally been hanging on by a thread.

Still, it should be one of the better games of the season. I don't think that there is much doubt which team is more talented nor which is better coached, but it is the SEC and both teams can bring a lot to the field.

I hope LSU can make it a good game, but I have my doubts. I have a feeling Florida will put it on them pretty heavy... but I could be wrong (again).

Four games in to the season and I'm already ready for basketball
Bama handled Kentucky easily, I think they are going to have a very solid year.

Now I don't feel so bad about that LSU/Miss. State game.

I can't wait for the LSU/Bama game.
