| For fans of the college world series www.omahastadium.com New stadium proposal. For those of you who have been to omaha...or just watched on ESPN...this is awsome. Theres so many people complaining about it but I think the majority of omaha is onboard. If you've never been to rosenblatt your not really missing anything. Its a dumpy 60yr old stadium. Parking is so minimal that people in the surrounding neighborhoods have blacktoped their back yards and charge $5 to park there....and then you have to walk a mile or more just to get to the stadium. The paning views of rosenblatt show the desert dome at the zoo...and thats about it. theres really nothing for resturants or hotels down there. The down town stadium will have alot of parking within 10-15 minutes walking time. And the paning shots between pitches will show the Quest center and omahas growing skyline. Theres already some new hotels down there with more to follow...allong with resturants and alsorts of awsomeness. | |||
