Nah, mate. That's how the garden gnomes got there.

There was this horrible genetic mutation of the breakfast cereal toys. A combination of too much ultraviolet, fallout from the bomb tests and finding their DNA upside down caused explosive growth overnight. They should have applied a sun barrier cream at the first signs of trouble but it's much too late now. The damage is done.
