Might as well be sometimes!

OK. Here's the real thing. The default Toshiba Satellite picture. How boring...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. It is actually a photograph I took of a life size statue in the National Gallery in Cape Town, South-Africa. Granted it may be a bit shocking and provocative, feel free to remove it.

Fincave,

It's a statue? No real people, actors, models or whatever you might call them? Incredible. What's it made of?

Re: Let's see your desktop...

I am not sure as to what material they were made from, am thinking probably cement though I could be mistaken? Here are a few close-ups of the three figures. Sonnie should maybe look in the other direction if these are too scary!

As the close ups may not be suitable I have removed two of the pics, the third should be ok though. Did a quick search and found out that the artists name is Jane Alexander and the work is called 'Butcher Boys', as to material it just states mixed media.

Re: Let's see your desktop...

Those are pretty wicked indeed, but not as provocative as the desktop at least.

Okay... let's get back to seeing some desktops...

Re: Let's see your desktop...

CTRL-PrntScrn will copy a picture to the clipboard. You can then dump it to your favorite image editor (MS Paint will work as well).

Re: Let's see your desktop...

What Otto said. I typically drop the picture into Paint and save it as a JPG, then open it in Microsoft Office Picture Manager to edit. Don’t forget to resize to the Shack standard of 800 pixels width.

Regards,
Wayne

My Home PC has the bland-blue background,
but my two laptops at work have desktops of my neighbor's empty lot, a 75' X 150 chunk of town property with 8 white-tail deer grazing in it.

Re: Let's see your desktop...

That's what's on my desktop for work and home. It's my brother's system not mine... yeah that's kinda weird I know!

I really liked his custom DVD rack he built and him and I make custom DVD boxed sets and I though his setup looked kinda cool.

As for my actual desktop...
Actually it's a little different looking right now (not as messy for one!) but the two white monitors have been replaced with black Dell 21" Trinitrons. One GREAT thing about all these new LCD HDTVs and computer monitors is that nobody seems to want CRTs anymore... I picked up two 21" Trinitrons that are in brand new condition for $60 a piece!

So that's my Desktop, and my desktop
