Motors, Magnets, Whatever

I like to take DC motors and hook the terminals together then try and turn the rotor. It resists it.

I also like to hook the terminals of a speaker together and tap on the cone. It changes the sound.

Plug your speakers into a wall outlet. That'll change the sound!

60Hz at a whole lotta watts. I know a lot of car audio guys who test custom installs by doing that, it can get pretty loud I hear.

Haha I don't need to be putting 60hz into my 8-ohm speakers at almost 2000w...

Re: Motors, Magnets, Whatever

were you the child at school who repeatedly asked questions in science?

Why is the sun the same size as the moon if it so far away?
why does the north pole remain magnetic north?
why does electricity flow through silicon and not sand or sometimes sand but not glass?
why does sound, which is created by moving paper, travel through glass which is much stiffer?
If we can only see the moon because light from the sun reflects of it, how come sometimes we can see both the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time?

How about lining the side of your car with supermagnets?

You're driving down the road and suddenly a car on the other side of the highway flips up into the air and flies towards your car.

Oh, and I'm still in the freshmen class, high school.

Don't forget to ask your physics teacher this:

If we can't observe electrons because of Heisenbergs' uncertaintity principal, and we know they orbit the nucleus of an atom in a cloud like mannor (not orderly like first assumed). Then how do we know they can change from one energy state to another simultaneously?

If he/she can't answer it, at least you will look keenly enthusiastic and get better grades
