I snagged the last NAD T785 that NAD had in their warehouse at a very good deal (below dealer cost). It is a little bit more robust in the amplifier section, especially with 2 ohm loads, for which the Onkyo is not rated. It is more of a safety thing than anything else... being that I now have these older Martin Logan speakers. Absolutely zero difference in sound quality that I have noticed, but perhaps a bit more safe with ML's.
