How Far To Go

So how far did you guys go to determine placement of your manifold? For those that put a lot of effort forward, did it pay off with good response at the listening position?

I ask as I'm thinking of moving my IB's location. Right now, I have a nasty dip in the 40-50Hz range that I probably won't be able to fix. Now that I have REW running, I'd like to do what I should have done before the first install. Then it's a matter of deciding how far to take it, and which approach I will take to finding a better placement.

So just looking for others to share their experience, pre-install to results. TIA.
