So what are the actual dimensions of your box?

It's 2 boxes side by side, each with external dimensions of 21" high, 26" deep, and 45" wide. It would be about 11 cu.ft. net volume for each box.

If one goes the Manifold route how do you know how wide to make it - like the design in this post -

The exit of the manifold should ideally be the same surface area (or bigger) of however many subs you are using in the manifold. The width of the exit is the distance between the studs x whatever it takes to equal the cone area of the subs. The depth of the manifold is whatever it would take to mount the subs. Make sense?

Nope - still a little confused on it. So say my studs are 15" apart - Use the two 18" subs you used in your last thing.

Re: Is an IB possible in my room?

If the space between the studs is 15" then the box needs to be 15" wide so it fits between the studs. The height should be 20" and the depth 20" + whatever the depth of your studs are, either 4" if they are 2x4 or 6" if they are 2x6. So the manifold opening is 15"x 20", and the sides are 20" x 20" which is enough room to mount a 18" sub on each side.
