Talking Waiting to build!

I'm a new member here and I don't have enough posts to PM anyone yet, so I thought I'd just make this post explaining my mission rather than just reply to posts with like "OH RLY?" and "COOL!"

I've never built a box before and I bought a cheap Dayton SD315-88 12" Shielded DVC Subwoofer to use with my PC to make a 2.1 system. So....basically I'm just here for help and I think there is a member who has made a box with the exact sub I have.

That would have been "Boomer":

Are you going ported or sealed? What amp will you be using for the sub?

Re: Waiting to build!

I haven't even checked the link in your post yet because I'm deep in a shotgun modification project, but from what I remember, the name of the member was "Whines." However, I think he made a ported setup. I'm going to check out Boomer's link now. I'm not looking to do anything ported.

Re: Waiting to build!

Yes, Whines went with 5.5 cu.ft. tuned to 23 hz. For a PC 2.1 system the sub in 1.4 cu.ft sealed looks good. It can handle a full 120 watts.
