Oaudio 300 or PE 500 BASH for Dayton RSS265HF-4 10"/sealed?

I already own the Oaudio 300. I bought the PE 500 BASH this weekend when it was on sale and cost the same as what I paid for the Oaudio 300.

Which of these 2 amps will give the flattest, deepest response with the Dayton RSS265HF-4 10" driver in a 1 cu. ft. sealed enclosure?

Will either amp require modifications to meet this goal?

Will I even notice the difference in 500 watts over 300 watts?

Thanks!

1 cu. ft. sealed is going to have a Q of .9. Yellow is the O-Audio with the default Hi-Pass filter at 17.7 hz. Green is the 500 watt amp with the default HPF at 30 hz. Both models are slightly over Xmax.

What if I eliminated the HPF on the PE 500 BASH and boosted the output somewhere below where the driver is naturally rolling off in that sized box?

You can't eliminate the HPF, the sub will bottom out. You can lower the HPF on the 500 watt amp which will take less power to reach Xmax and you end up with the same output as the O-Audio 300 watt amp.

Thanks! I understand I have to replace resistors 17 and 18. What values should I use to make the HPF as low as possible?
Thanks again!

The model shown above is with a HPF at 30 hz and the sub is already at its Xmax. If you lower the HPF it will bottom out with a lot less than 500 watts.

What sized sealed box for a Q of .70 for the RSS265HF-4 10"?

Thanks!
