Add material for flush-mounting?

I've gotten the 12" CSS Trio so my build can finally begin!!!

Just a minor question. I want to flush-mount the driver and pass.rads. I am going to build in 18mm MDF, should I add material to the back side to add stability or is roughly 5mm enough to withstand the pressures involved??? I had thought about making 20mm x 12mm thick rings in MDF to add stability...

Stay tuned, I'm sure I'll have a bunch more "minor" questions to ask... pics shortly...

Re: Add material for flush-mounting?

Flush mounting usually involves adding another layer of 18 mm material to the ousde dimensions of the box. 5mm is not enough material to mount the components.

We're all in this together!

I suggest using a double thickness of your material for the front baffle.

Another alternative is to create a ring.
