| Re: Building an IB If you examine the original images carefully the driver cutouts are clearly two layers. (Even though Rodny's joints are almost invisible) Rodny Your fabrication skills are truly impressive! ![]() What is the grey material you have stretched over the baffle (prior to your GRP work) which looks rather like a blanket? Which kind of adhesive did you use to attach it to the baffle? | |||

| | Re: Building an IB I think what Darren and I were seeing is the front part... not the actual part the drivers mount too. However, that part will be connected to the front. I'm sure Rodny has already thought of a way to attach it securely so that there will be no resonating issues. Rodny has done some amazing installs in cars (including mine), trucks, boats (serious boats) and continues to amaze me with his home. I betcha that material is trunk liner. | |||

You'll be surprise how strong it is after drys, you can always put Fiberglas mat from the back side to make it even stronger. This box here, http://www.putfile.com/rodny68/images/32053 the back is fiberglas mat and the front is fleece.Sometimes I used trunk liner(thin carpet) never have any problems. You can look at my pics and see the fiberglas work. | ||||
