Do I really need the filter at 117.5Hz?
Since the higher frequency filters (100Hz - 200Hz) are created by REW when dealing with a sub only signal, their effectiveness when mains speakers are added is best left to testing. Obviously, the higher the frequency, the less effect a filter has, since the subs signal is over-whelmed by the mains. The best method is to simply do a sweep with sub plus mains and turn the questionable filter on and off. If there's little or no effect, then remove the filter.

What will be the best way for me to add a House curve?
The usual method (when it hasn't been offered as a gift) is to raise the wholesale level of the sub signal with the sub amp and then cut the house curve out with filters. The rub is that you can go too far and lose too much signal level feeding the sub, such that you can't develop full power.

As an example, see the picture below.

If I have a sub filtered with the response marked "75dB target, 60Hz cross, no house", and I raise the level of my sub amp by 5dB, the resulting response will look like the line marked "80dB target, 60Hz cross, no house, equivalent to raising...".

I would like the response to look like the line marked "75dB target, 60Hz cross, 5dB house to 30hz". Simply filter the area marked in yellow.... I think you get the idea..

Re: Building an IB

People have been using fleece in the car audio work for a while now. It's cheap, and stretches easily.

Re: Building an IB

I've done quite a lot of GRP over the years but fleece wasn't part of the scene.

All the TV screens at most of the local dealers are covered in Ice Age 2 at the moment. I haven't actually heard a single sound coming from any of the screens so it could be a silent movie as far as I'm concerned.

Does it have some decent bass?

Some people use t shirt material or speaker grille cloth or anything the stretches real good, it just depend on how big the piece you building.

There is two line arrays in my room one is on the left and one on the right, left side panel is done, the panel one on right is the one I'm working on.
I'm going to order some blue LEDs to put around the plexi, when the LEDs are turn on the plexi around the sub will glow.(it will be just the ring around the sub).

Rodny, looks really awesome - the showmanship with the neon is terrific, but not overdone.

The 2nd last pic from the Sarah Mclachlan video... I recognize who looks like David Sinclair on the guitar, but the gal? Is that a recent Camille Henderson?

Re: Building an IB

Yeah... and the lucky rascal gets them at cost too. Which is one reason I've been eyeballing VR3's. I figure Rodny needs two sets... one set for his house and one for mine.... ... since we are such good friends.
