Didn't want to start a new thread Jim.

First, I want to commend Mark at Mach5 for robust, great looking driver. I love the "old school" dust cap look. Simply beautiful!

Hello there!

Wrapped!

Yes!

Mark has the driver double boxed! Mark didn't cut corners here! For the price, this is a wonderful surprise!

I thought the same thing. Nice packaging. Mine had slid around a little, but zero damage.

All of the wood is bought and sitting in the garage. I think I'm going to use pocket hole joinery for the plywood part of the manifolds. I'm also thinking about using it to secure the manifolds to the joists.

Heck yeah! I'm in Copperfield.

I'm rerouting an HVAC duct (replacing it) to make room for one of the manifolds. Hopefully I'll be building the manifolds tomorrow. My father inlaw is here until Wednesday and it makes it almost impossible to get anything done.

Shoot, I'm at barker c and clay, Thats right around the corner. I have a space under my screen and over my m.bedroom in the attic that i can only get to by cutting a hole in the wall. But if this will be better than my current subs I'm all in. My friend also has an ht. and he's thinking about ib. also.

Re: IXL 18 IB project

Wow, we're practically neighbors. Second floor game room that's kind of open? Mine is a living room that's open to a dining area and the entryway. FAR from ideal. I should have been happy with what I built last year, but I like to tinker.

I got the flex duct replaced and moved out of the way. It was HOT up there even with the mild temp today and rain. I really should only be working on this in the mornings.

When I built the house I had the "game room" enclosed. I also pre wired for all my can lights, sconces and speakers. I wish I had known more about subs then. I would at least have put a door to gain access to it.
It would be under the screen, where the 3.3 is.

The pics are bad and I've since added a 25-31 pci but you get the idea.

Re: IXL 18 IB project

Nice setup!! My next house will have a dedicated HT room. My wife hates exposed components, hence the move to IB. I told her I could hide it. I just didn't tell her how big I was going.

We demoed a couple of SVS's products last year at Wayne's house. Maybe Sonnie remembers what model #'s did we listen to. Nice stuff, but not enough output for my tastes. My sealed 15" and EP2500 give me the output I want and actually goes pretty deep. Just not as deep as I want. I want single digits.

Would you like your single digits in Hz or dB, Sir?

Jeez I can't wait to hear it. I'm afraid that i'm gonna have to have one. Well if I can get more spl and lower htz for around the same cost, then I can always sell what I have, and start demolition on that wall.(I like breakin walls down, i'm a firefighter). This ib thing has me very interested.

Firefighter? Very cool!

High SPL from these systems is just a nice by-product. Going deep very cleanly is the main goal for me.
