Sub as stage?

I'm in the very early stages of planning my new home, and with it comes the new theater. I've been toying with the idea of some DIY subwoofer. Maybe IB or LLT in an adjacent room. Then I came up with the idea to build the subwoofer into the stage up front. I'm thinking 4 Soundsplinter 15" in an LLT configuration. Is this feasible at all? This space will be taken by the stage anyway, so I might as well make it useful.

The same question was asked no too long ago. It can certainly be done... 15" drivers facing forward would work well. I used a pair of 18" drivers, down-firing when I built my stage for my theater. (would have been too high for them to be front facing)

There's another thread somewhere of 4 15's in the front wall of the stage... can't find it at the moment, but IIRC, it worked out well.

sonnie and joe are right, there have been a number of threads where someone did exactly what your talking about. Another option people have used when building a theater is, when elevating the rear seats on a platform, putting the subs in the platform.
