| Anyone can help? This is not a home theater sub question but I am sure someone here would know this. I was given a car sub box. It looks like a 5th order type made for 2 - 10" subs. Could anyone here tell me what the cubic inch space is if I gave the DIMMs of this custom box? I would like to add 2- 10" subs to it, but I need to make sure what the cu inch is before getting some subs to add to it ![]() Thanks and here is the size of the box. This is all out side DIMMS: HEIGHT = 16" WIDTH = 16" DEPTH = 15 1/4" PORT AREA WIDTH IS 2 3/4" The MDF thickness is 3/4" by my guess it's right at about 2.2 to 2 cubic inch, but I am thinking if I can find 2 - 10" subs that can handle @ least 2 - 2.2 each. Anyone know? Here is the box: ![]() Thanks for any help. | |||

| Re: Anyone can help? You give width, but what is the height and length of the port. What thickness material is used to form the port? Assuming it's a slot port, using one or more walls of the cabinet to form the port itself. Got pictures? Any bracing inside the cabinet? From there, it's just basic geometry and a little fiddling in WinISD to determine net air volume and actual enclosure tuning. -Brent | |||

| Re: Anyone can help? Hi Brent - I just found out my box is the eD design. By using the calculator on eD's website and folllowing its measurements, it looks like my box is 2 - 10" 11kv.2 subwoofers Measurements: A = 15" B = 34" C = 16" Which its including 2- 10" subs @ tuned hz of 35 (if I get the eD 11kv.2 subwoofers (2 qty)/ Current Interior Volume - Total 2.87 cF - 81.3 L Here: http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/box...php?tab=vented Makes any sense? | |||
