subwoofer port help

I am just getting started building my first sub and i've got a couple of questions for those of you whove been through this before. I've modeled everything out in WinISD and it looks like i want to use a 4" port flared on both ends that's a little over 25" long. My box is 8 cu ft after all bracing, driver and port but due to box dimensions i need to bend the port inside the box. is there anyone out there offering ports with a 90 degree bend or will i need to go to the local home depot and get a pvc angle bend? Also, having read Collo's works and discussion of ports, if i want to get ports from precision ports or others, are their ports of compatible thickness with standard pvc so as to be able to use a 90 degree bend i could get from home depot or others?

thanks all. i'll be posting updates and pix as i actually get started on construction.

Josh

Parts Express sells 3 and 4 inch elbows in their ""Dayton Create-Your-Own Flared Port Tube System""
http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage....&so=2&desc=ASC

PVC elbows are cheap and easy to work with. There are some pics and a good description on how to glue them in Matt's build.http://www.hometheatershack.com/foru...-im-again.html

We're all in this together!

Don't forget the volume displaced by the entire port (including internal volume) should be accounted for in the box design.
If you port takes up 'X'sq ft then you must add that much internal volume.

Thanks Mike, those were the kinds of answers i was looking for.

JRace, thanks for the reminder, i've already got that factored in but it never hurts to continue getting suggestions from those whove gone before me.
