Coral PMR-400 15" / Perless 15" Resolution

My project... I just found some time ago Coral PMR-400 15" element for "good prize", it's sure made for car... but plan was put it into "small" sealed tube.
Specs for that element shows that is "same" speaker than Perless 15" Resolution...
For reference other DIY cabin for 3" TB fullrange speaker.

Here is some more, Sonotube from Sonoco-Alcore, plan is to make sealed 90 l tube... final calculations and modelling with WinISD and tube will be 105 l.

Reference to car tyre 175/65 14" cutting to correct lenght.

Re: Coral PMR-400 15" / Perless 15" Resolution

I found from hardware store that sells kitchen cabinets nice shinny "legs" for tube.
They were only that had so small mounting plate that i could put the just edge of tube + those "legs" have M10 treath inside. So mounting plate can be removed.

Here routed cover part made from "solid" Fraxinus americana, very hard wood to work with.

I am curious to see the T/S parameters for the Coral PMR-400. I have looked but can not find them. Do you have a link to the specs?

We're all in this together!

Re: Coral PMR-400 15" / Perless 15" Resolution

Actually I remember it was Coral PRF400. Should be exactly the same as Peerless Resolution R15.

Code:
Electrical data
Nominal impedance	Zn	4	(ohm)
Minimum imp./at freq.	Zmin	4.2/71	(ohm/Hz)
Maximum impedance	Zo	51.2	(ohm)
Dc resistance Re	3.2	(ohm)
Voice coil inductance	Le	5.7	(mH)

TS Parameters
Resonance Frequency	fs	29.1	(Hz)
Mechanical Q factor	Qms	7.72
Electrical Q factor	Qes	0.51
Total Q factor Qts	0.48

Force factor Bl	18.7	(Tm)
Mechanical resistance	Rms	7.28	(Kg/s)
Moving mass Mms	307	(g)
Suspens. compliance	Cms	0.10	(mm/N)
Effective cone diam.	D	33.7	(cm)
Effective piston area	Sd	892	(cm²)
Equivalent volume	Vas	106.9	(ltrs)
SPL 2.83V/1m at fmin	91.1	(dB)
I'm building two sealed subs from these. Real bang for the buck as they did cost only 100€/pcs.

Now something has happened in garage, enclosure is finished. It's only waiting when wax is completely dry and i can polish it. Bad picture colors are not what they are in nature ...

Got these working at last. I did build two of these in sealed enclosure, 100liters each. Few pictures below. Links from pictures are to little bigger versions in gallery of dvd-plaza.

Those subs found home from this kind of HT.
