Here's a site that sells 6" ports:

http://psp-inc.com/

I missed the second page and realize that this post is way too late.

The sub looks excellent!

Re: My 15" TC2000 LLT End Table Project

No problem!!! Thanks for the compliment and thanks for the link...I looked at that site but it seemed like they no longer sold the 6" stuff.

Anyway...looking back at the pictures myself I see a ton of places where I rushed and took shortcuts trying to get it done.

Legs and foam especially...but The box itself is built like a tank...and i knew that no-one would see the legs or bottom plate. But still its something you don't notice during the build...but after you just want to do everything different.

Well I just came in to grab my wire cutters to hook the puppy up...its too late to do anything wih it...but maybe tomorrow

thanks again everyone!!!

Umm, I hate to even bring it up, but those legs look short enough that there is going to be some driver loading going on. That is going to lower your tune and perhaps even result in reduced upper bass efficiency at your seat. If it's not too late, I'd try to add a few more inches to the feet.

Oh, and correcting the misguided at that other place isn't what I would call taking a beating, it's educating the many silent viewers. Some of the misguided ones are so far out in lah-lah land that no amount of facts, proof, or logic can reach them, but those reading along can see the truth for what it is and gain from it.

The legs are 4", and as you can tell they are just glued on. I can knock them off in 30 seconds and raise them if you think it will be beneficial. I chose 4" as it seemed to be more than most of the sonosubs I see. That and I figured I needed to ease "her" into the box. If I raise them .5" a week she will never notice

What would you suggest as the best leg height? I will air it out tommorrow...but so far from what I can tell I am going to like the SQ. I already can tell I have none of the over hang that I had with my other box. (2.7 cu sealed firing up into the room from below)

And yeah or nay on putting the board under the driver???

Oh, 4" actually should be fine, it looks shorter in the pictures. When you say the board under the driver, do you mean the baseplate? I am a big supporter of baseplates, as they add more mass to the system and shift the center of gravity lower, making it harder for the driver to cause the enclosure to rattle.

yes I meant the baseplate. So 4 is good, but if I change to something more visually appealing then maybe 5? 6? 4?

Re: My 15" TC2000 LLT End Table Project

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I'm looking to building something similar to this except I'll be using 2 12" ED drivers. I just wanted to say thanks for sharing the information.
