| New guy question on down firing woofer arrangement Hello subwoofer builders, I have a pair of 12” subs that I built years back and I need to put them in new enclosures. I am using a sealed Q = 7 alignment with an F3 around 35Hz. The crossover may be as high as 100 Hz 2nd order. I would like to build the new boxes with a down firing configuration. Can anybody tell me if there is a rule of thumb for the height of the woofer from the floor to avoid any front loading? Thanks in advance, Marty | |||

| Re: New guy question on down firing woofer arrangement Ahhh… thank you. That is exactly what I needed. And....no flames for calling something with an F3 at 35 Hz a “sub” or not finding the proper thread in the archives before asking. You guys have a nice forum going, thanks for the help. | |||
