SDX-15 Baffle Screws

The hole at the front of the SDX-15 will accomodate a 1/4"-20 screw. Unfortunately the edge of the surround or a gasket is preventing the screw from going all the way thru the baffle. I tried putting some pressure on the screw but it would not go.

The speaker is pretty heavy and 10-32 screws seem pretty small. Should I push harder or drill the gasket out?

I used #10 screws without a problem to hold by SDX-15 drivers. They've been in for a couple months now.

Without getting out a drill, the 1/4" screws will not fit.
