Re: sonosub software

Hi there Scott,

the calculator won't let you work out what is the best driver. You need to use a design package such as WinISD or Unibox to do that.

Sonosub only uses the physical dimensions of the driver to work out volumes and clearances. It comes with some of the popular drivers included, but you can add your own if it's not on the list. If you don't know the dimensions yet, you can use the built in generic sizes

regards
Collo

Collo

the Sag calculator, is the Fs to input, the resonant frequency of the box, or I'd think - of the driver?

Cheers

Re: sonosub software

The fs is the value for the driver.

The calculator uses the same formula that is available on the parts express website.

There was a more detailed formula published by Adire Audio a while back, which required more information to be entered.

When I compared the results between the two formulas, they were almost the same, so I stuck with the more simple one.
