Dumb Wiring Question

I have a pair of CSS SDX-15's that I will be powering from a single amp (most likely the trusty EP-2500). The SDX-15's haev dual, 2-ohm voice coils so they can be wired in series for 4 ohms or parallel for 1 ohm. A pair could then be wired in series for a total load of 2 ohms or 8 ohms.

From what I understand, a bridged EP-2500 isn't going to like a 2 ohm load so of those options I should go with the 8 ohm configuration. The dumb question is: can one driver be wired in paralell and the other in series for a 5 ohm load? I would assume that this is a really bad idea, but thoguht I'd post the question anyway.

Yes, but it's a really bad idea, as you already assumed...... The driver wired to 4 ohms will dissipate four times the power.....
