Peerless made in denmark, made in china

I bought a sub and 2 passive radiators a few days ago, they are all peerless. when they came i was shocked to find they are now made in china! Are they going to be as good quality as the older ones that were made in denmark? or should i swap them for a different brand?

Is there anything about them that indicates they are of lesser quality other than the country of origin? Pretty much the only way for many companies to remain competitive is to outsource to places that have cheaper labour costs. What other drivers would you be looking at? PRs are pretty few and far between.

well they still look extremly well built, and sound good. i was just wondering if anybody had any bad experiences with them now they are made in china.

I know that the Vifa D26 driver which used to be manufactured in Denmark but was moved to China has proven that the switch didn't produce a lesser driver. It was practically the same driver...and if anything it had a smoother upper frequency response, IIRC.

i thought vifa is still made in denmark, it says so on the tymphany website. but that is still reassuring to know

I guess some of the Vifa drivers are still made there, but the D26 certainly isn't.
