A friend gave me this TV which worked fine. I took it outside to blow out the dust and when i got it back in the picture was bad. i found the manual online and went into the convergence adjustment and the red adjustment will only adjust UP and DOWN will not adjust left and right.the blue adjustment is good all directions.
I just found this forum and appears to be the best i've ever found..

THANKS Robert...

When first turning on set power light turns on then off instintley { power relays click on off}
All leds on boards do the same on then off.No high voltage present at flyback or Crt"s
Also when you unplug either PMR PMG PMB Connectors on DPIX Deflection PWB.or PQD2 connector on DPIX Defection PWB . Power light stays on also all leds remain lite. But still no High voltage set will just stay on no pic no sound. Anyway the person who gave this to me said a tech in the area looked at it and said either Verticle output transistors or Convergence Circuit IC s or Resitors ect . Would like a Another opion as to what to look for as i have very little faith in what this guy tells people as the last Hitachi i aquired was only the green crt deflection board burnt resistor and he wanted to charge 400.00
Anyway i think you get the pic . So Any help would be wounderful thanks for the help in the past Darren
I have searched for simalar post found none ! also c712 is part #AT03184S Metal OX o.68 ohm 1w
found this out thru Hitachi i have conections lol but they wont say for sure if it belongs at c-712 spot on board
just listed in parts inventory crazey

Hello, I am new here. :) and i need some info. First id like to say that i have fixed my first tv with help from the forums here on this site!! i replaced my 2 convergence chips on my hitachi 53fdx20b and checked out the resistors and capicitors for damage. and the repair went great. :) :) i just need to know if anyone knows the service menu command buttons on the remote, i usually can poke and prod around on the remote until i can find the adj for red green and blue, but it takes me forever. and if i knew the buttons it would make my life easier :)

So any help would be greatly appreciated

i am new to the tv repair problems. i have read your posts about convergence. i have a hitachi 65xwx20b that has a problem with the green color. on the hitachi the green is not adjustable and only the red and blue are. both the red and the blue will adjust but the green is way off. i will try to post a photo. does the convergence ic's also cover the green tube?

thanks
