what happened to google map??

hi guys

i realise that the shack recently underwent an overhaul (or have I lost my marbles, maybe I'm thinking of something else???) but I just noticed the google map me seems to have gone, it's a lot of fun at times.

Am I completely stupid and missing something or what?

I will work on adding the link in the user profile located left of the message posting area. During the overhaul I forgot about coding that in.

yeah I saw that sonnie, but I guess I meant how do I now look YOU up for example? I suppose that is covered in the second post of yours.

Hang on, you HAVE got a googlemap me under your name, and I haven't. Moderators privilege? ha ha

I know I once did, maybe I have to do it again for some reason. I remember I got SOOO confused last time and it took me an hour to work it out due to my computer stupidity ha ha ha.

Will do it again (grrrr) and see how it goes.

I just went and had a look, and noticed a list of the people on google map and sure enough, I'm no longer there (maybe no-one luvs me and I'm being quietly moved out the door....)

Any idea on what could have caused that?? Maybe some sort of bug I dunno, but all I know is that I didn't remove myself.

That explains it all, and so 'sorry' for the 'unnecessary' post. I'll go and re-enter myself.

didn't take an hour this time, only one or two hiccups.

Yeah... I had to delete about 25 or so users from the map. I had failed to update it and some missing info on those users caused a problem. Unfortunately you were one of those I had to delete. I had planned on notifying you earlier and got sidetracked. Anyway... hopefully it's all fixed now and things are working okay.

On the swear words... we have to prevent even what might be considered mild due to the various definitions of "what is mild"... if you know what I mean. If you let one slide... then there's someone else claiming another is no worse, then ultimately you have abuse. It's just easier to eliminate anything that might be remotely questionable.
