Yeah, it seems as though some of these spammers have stooped really low.
I guess we are going to have to put something in place to prevent new users from posting PMs until they have met a certain number of posts.

She and her IP address have been banned.

I received an email notice indicating I had a PM but I do not have a link to read it when logged in....it indicates it is from Jeanette (above spam) so I'm assuming it has been blocked or deleted?

In an effort to curtail some of this, we have placed a restriction on New Members just today...

No Private Messaging Allowed
No Custom Avatar Allowed
No Profile Picture Allowed
No Signature Allowed
Cannot View Members List
Cannot View Who's Online
Cannot Email Members
Cannot Post in Classifieds

We will continue to allow downloads, images and attachments.

After 10 posts a New Member is promoted to Shackster and the restrictions are lifted as well as supporting members are automatically updated and restrictions lifted.

I believe we owe it to our regular participating members to at least try and protect them from spammers like Jeanette. She ain't the first one and I'm sure she would not be the last one. Generally these spammers will not make 10 posts just to be able to spam.
